As often as possible we travel, especially to the remote and unspoilt areas of southern Africa. We have travelled to Swaziland (1980), Mauritius (1984), Lesotho (numerous times, including 1989), Ghana (1996), Botswana (numerous times, including Okavango Delta in 1996 and 2008), central Mozambique (1998), Comoros (1998), Uganda (2000), Israel (2000), Kenya (2001), Germany and France (2001), Namibia (numerous times, including Cunene River estuary in 2001), USA (2002 and 2004), England and Wales (2002), Ethiopia (2003), Hungary (2003), Australia (2004, 2005, 2006 and 2008), Tunisia (2004), England and Scotland (2005), Hong Kong (2006), Germany (2006), Kenya and Tanzania (2006) and Madagascar (2008).
Our destinations
Our favourite South African places are the Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, the Richtersveld, Witsand Nature Reserve, and the Klaserie Private Nature Reserve.
